Congratulations!  The Summit Swim and Dive Team defeated Notre Dame 113-53.  We had a lot of swimmers swimming different events than normal which is a good thing.  The times from the meet and the top times report have been posted online.

Looking to the future, we have a busy week next week with three meets.  Monday, we face off at home against Clayton; Tuesday, we will compete at home against Webster; and Thursday, we will swim at home against Parkway West.   Our Senior night will be on Monday, Feb 9th when we compete against Parkway Central.

Including this afternoon, we only have five practices until Conference.

Summit defeated Ritenour 106 to 67 yesterday.  Results and top times have been posted on the website.

We will compete in a tri-meet against Notre Dame and Barat Academy tomorrow at home.

While we didn’t finish well in the overall standings, I do believe our team performed well as a whole.  We saw some swimmers drop significant times and others were close to their personal bests.  This puts us in a good position heading into the final weeks of our season.  Remember that our goal is to earn our best times at the Conference meet in February.  I posted our results and our top times on the website.

This week, we will be away for our meet against Ritenour on Tuesday.  Swimmers will be released from class at 2:45pm on Tuesday because of the time it will take for us to get there by bus.  A map to the Ritenour pool can be found here.   Thursday, we will be hosting a tri-meet at home against Notre Dame and Barat Academy.

Additionally, our awards banquet is scheduled for Monday, February 23rd from 6-9pm at Andre’s West in Fenton.  The banquet is open to all Girls’ Swim and Dive athletes and their families. Cost this year will be $11/person.  I have posted an RSVP form on the website.  Please fill it out and bring the total payment to me by February 17.

Today, we host Parkway North at home.  The lineup has been posted online.

Additionally, the Cape Invite lineup has been posted online.

Parents, the Cape pool has limited seating so it is a good idea to bring some folding chairs just in case.  Remember the map to the Cape pool is located online.  All the info I sent out earlier regarding the Cape Invite is located online.

We finished 5th place at the Brandt Invite on Thursday.  I was really impressed with the number of swimmers who earned best times at the meet.  Invite results have been posted as well as an updated top times report.

Monday’s practice is at 9am.  Reminder: we have posted our entire season schedule on our calendar accessible 24 hours a day online.

Tuesday, we have a home meet against Parkway North.

Saturday, Jan 24 is the Cape Invite.  Please bring snacks/drinks and money for dinner/concessions/t-shirts/etc.

The lineup for the Kirkwood Meet has been posted online.  It may look a little different than usual because I had the girls pick their events, giving precedence to the upperclassmen and then filling in missing entries.

It was back and forth throughout the whole meet but the final event sealed the win for the Falcons finishing with a score of 91-85 over Pattonville.   The times from the meet have been posted, including an updated top times report.

Today, we will get another chance to show our skills against Oakville at home.  The lineup has been posted.

Our next meet is Monday at home against a very tough Kirkwood team.
