The men's season for swimming and diving will begin on Monday, July 31st from 3p-5p at the Summit pool.  There are a few reminders, updates, and changes that I need to communicate for the upcoming season.

1. A current physical must be on file for athletes to participate in practice on the first day (dated after Feb 1, 2017).  I suggest scheduling an appointment before the swim/dive season begins to make sure there are no gaps in training.

2. The Activities office will be improving security and reducing paper waste by moving private information to an online system called Privit.  Click the link below for instructions on how to set up an account.  One benefit is parents will only have to register once. In subsequent years, parents will just have to accept/edit any changes from the previous year.

3. We will be scheduling a brief parents meeting this year on Wednesday Aug 2nd at 5pm (immediately after swim/dive practice).  We will NOT have a parents meeting on picture day as was the case in previous years.

If you are in a fall sport or cannot make the meeting, please email me or speak with me at school.  My classroom is in room 708 this year.

Oct 13 is also our senior night.  You are welcome to stay and cheer on our seniors in their final dual meet of the season!

What we need:
1. Athletes: we need members of both the boys' and girls' teams to participate
2. Candy: We need everyone to bring a bag of individually wrapped candy to hand out at the parade.
3. Decorations: Boys will be responsible for the pool and diving board decorations.  Girls will need to make two signs for either side of the truck (Summit Swim and Dive).  Both groups can also bring any other decorations for the floats.

Schedule:
1. Meet after school (3:30 or so) at Noah Stelmachowicz house to decorate the floats
2. By 5:15p, the float needs to be in line at the Rockwood South parking lot.
3. The parade will begin at 6p.  Hand out candy.  Be silly.  Have fun.
4. The parade will end at the high school by 6:30p.

On Friday, Aug 19, family and friends are invited to attend this season's intra-squad Maroon and Black meet.  The athletes will participate in a mock meet by competing against their teammates.
