It was an expected outcome as SLUH has more depth among its swimmers and divers. Nevertheless, it was an opportunity for our Summit athletes to improve their times and diving scores.
Summit regained composure against Pattonville, winning 98-87 in a close, back-and-forth meet. While Pattonville started the meet on top, Summit slowly cut the lead. After diving, Pattonville regained the top spot but Summit finished strong, taking first place in the final two relays to edge out their conference rival. Up next for Summit - the Invite on Wednesday and Thursday this week. The Summit Swim and Dive team triumphed over Clayton last week, scoring 101-79 and Webster this week, 108-62. By winning both meets, it leveled Summit's record to an even .500 in dual competitions. Summit looks to square off against a tough SLUH team at Forest Park CC this Friday.
Rockwood Swim America Program is looking for swim instructors at the Summit pool for upcoming swim lesson sessions. Pay is $8.50/hour. If interested, contact Coach Benson for more information.
